Nothing but huge love and respect to all the Guys/Gals who worked on making this incredible game come to life. If you grew up playing these games and found that SOR4 was missing something or if your just a massive fan of the SOR franchise then you have to give this game a go because it really is one of the best ever made. If your a fan of Easter eggs then watch out because this game is full of those too! ranging from Final Fight's Cody making a sneaky appearance, Sonic The Hedgehog arcade game, TMNT references, Alien references, Shinobi and many more. SORR also has additional sections which were removed in the final edition of SOR3 which include the motor bike riding levels. The game also has a lot of features from all three past games which not only include the levels but also updated versions of SOR1 characters. So once you have enough points you can unlock SOR3 or SOR1 Axel etc etc. You CAN unlock the other versions of the characters in the shop however if you earn enough points. This update for SORR has changed a hell of a lot of things around which include brand new levels, new animations, new weapon fatalities, new moves, new sprites and oddly all the original gang have had their SOR3 sprites removed and replaced with SOR2 sprites but now with new running, rolling animations added to them from scratch. Hence why people are surprised by this final update release. Originally BomberGames had Sega's blessing to make and release this game.but because its Sega they then quickly changed their minds and told them to stop anymore progress on the game. If your unsure as to WHY people didn't think this would happen then that's down to Sega. V5.2 is an update (FINAL) to the Streets Of Rage Remake project which was being worked on by BomberGames and an update which millions never thought would ever happen. Axel has a spinning kick (Nod to FF cody) Max has a sit down powerbomb throw, Roo can use weapons and has special weapon attacks and a whole lot more has been added. With the latest release of the game all characters now have new moves and combos that most people dont actually know about. This video is of Max and SOR1 Axel via the SteamDeck. But there's a great sense of accomplishment when you finish it, so I recommend derping around on at least stage 1 to get a taste so fun beating up huge waves of Galsias/Signals.Another Video of the latest and final release of Streets of Rage Remake by BomberGames. Now, I can't go back to the easier difficulties, despite the fact that Mania can be a bitch with some characters. After a while, I decided to play individual levels on the harder difficulties until I eventually graduated to Mania. When you get it off, it's great (all dat damage!), but it's mad frustrating when some punk Galsia/Donovan breaks up your combo with a jab/uppercut.Īnd, like you, I used to play on normal/hard (first thing I did was play through story on Normal). Totes feel your annoyance regarding Max's jab! Ughhhhh. And complain the whole way through – lol! But, like I said, I'll prolly try to finish Mania with him anyways. He just feels even more unfinished today when you look at his quality of moves/animations versus the other characters. Yeah, I played all the Streets of Rages as a kid (SoR2 is EASILY my favorite of the classic games), so I was just as confused by Zan back then as I am now. Which difficulty are you playing on, btw? I'm currently on level 5 of my first Mania Arcade run and I feel like he may give me trouble in the later levels. So much so that I get jabbed by some of the faster Galsia variations during a punch spam lock, something that's never happened to me with the other characters. Max is pretty cool, though! He's my new project. Regardless, I'll prolly beat the game with him as well, because I'm kinda compelled to go through Mania with every character at this point. They all feel like they're not 100% complete, like he's some unfinished prototype character that you're supposed to unlock with a cheat code or something. Unfinished? His look, his animations, his attacks (particularly the weird "shakey, shakey throw" and the bizarro weapon energy ball). Zan, however? Man, I dunno – something about him just feels. Wow! He's kinda crazy to play as so much different than the other characters. After reading your response, I went and tried out SOR3 Skate.
